Amy Eschman
Operations Manager
Amy Eschman, Operations Manager, brings a wealth of experience in National Institutes of Health proposals, grants administration, and project and team management. Amy is responsible for managing the "process" at J2, ensuring the pieces come together for a seamless delivery to the Client. Prior to joining J2, Amy served as a Principal Investigator on numerous research projects, including software tools for assessing cognition and performance, and a clinical trial to validate a tool for screening cognitive status in a primary care office. In addition, Amy has a background in writing and developing user manuals and training materials for software applications and the next generation of researchers. Away from work, Amy enjoys spending time with her family on her back porch, taking long walks with her dog, Agnes, being on the water ANYWHERE, and cheering on the Steelers!
Mary Blake Chandler
Project Associate
Mary Blake Chandler, MPA, Project Associate, has a dual background in workforce development for safety-net clinics and public health. After completing her graduate work at the University of Colorado, she worked for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, where she began working with Federally Qualified Health Centers, Rural Health Clinics, Critical Access Hospitals, and academic medical institutions. She has experience creating and administering grant programs, working in public policy, and expanding health equity efforts. At J2, Mary Blake tracks projects and grants through the development cycle, drafts narratives, and participates in needs assessments, grant management, and compliance navigation. Having recently moved back to her home state of North Carolina, you can typically find her outside on a hike, by the ocean, or on a never-ending search for the world's finest cup of coffee.
Sandra Garcia
Project Coordinator
Sandra Garcia, MHA, Project Coordinator, has a background in healthcare IT and electronic health records, consulting at various hospitals across the U.S. Sandra first joined J2 as a Military Spouse Fellow through the Hiring Our Heroes program upon returning to the US after being stationed overseas with her family. During her time abroad, Sandra volunteered extensively with the American Red Cross and was awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award for her efforts. Sandra is motivated by advancing health care accessibility and education. She provides turnkey client support for a variety of engagements including grants management, proposal development, and strategic thinking.
Sandra is fueled by coffee, laughter, and good food. In her free time, Sandra coaches 6-under soccer, rides bikes with her husband and two young boys, and toggles between Hot Wheels races and lightsaber battles in her living room.
Alison Delateur
Project Associate
Alison Delateur, MPH, Project Associate, combines expertise in public health program development and health center operations. She joined J2 as a Military Spouse Fellow through the Hiring Our Heroes Program, eager to apply a decade of experience working with Federally Qualified Health Centers and look-alikes across the country. With a background in school-based health center leadership, operations, and grants management, Ali excels in strategic planning for community-based programs. Equal parts mission-driven and detail-oriented, Ali leverages her formal project management experience to effectively carry out client projects, with the ultimate goal of enhancing access to high-quality, affordable healthcare for all patients.
Ali looks forward to pizza and movie night on Fridays with her 3 young kids and husband, with the rest of the week spent juggling sports, park outings, bike rides, and walks with the family dog.
Parisa Reyna
Office Manager
Parisa Reyna, Office Manager, provides administrative support to the J2 team. Parisa juggles a variety of tasks – whether she is managing accounts payable and receivable or creating team-building games, Parisa brings her warmth and sunny disposition to every assignment. Originally from southern California, Parisa's background lies in operations management, with previous sleep medicine and private school administration roles. As a mother of two daughters, her days off are filled with glitter and rainbows.
Lauri Matos
IT Administrator/Grants Analyst
Lauri Matos, IT Administrator & Grants Analyst, provides grants development and management support to the J2 team and ensures the firm's IT systems are fully functioning. With over 15 years of experience in various roles, including retail, sales, customer service management, and IT support, Lauri brings a diverse skill set to his current position. Outside of work, he is a technology enthusiast who enjoys exploring the latest advancements in the field. When not immersed in the digital world, he enjoys walking at the beach and trails. Recently, he embarked on a new venture by co-hosting a podcast catering to the Brazilian community.
Gabriel Santos
Lead Project Analyst
Gabriel Santos, Lead Project Analyst, provides back-office support across the J2 team, including drafting budgets, GIS analytics, data compilation, and other project work. Gabriel is currently finishing his bachelor's degree in business. Gabriel is a car enthusiast and, during his downtime, can be found cruising in his beloved Skylar. Gabriel speaks fluent Portuguese.
Jennifer Jones Santos
President and CEO
Jennifer Jones Santos, MSHS, President, founded J2 Strategic Solutions in 2004. Jennifer oversees all the firm's engagements, which benefit from her nearly twenty-five years of FQHC experience, including multiple C-Suite positions. Jennifer has guided small non-profits, health departments, hospital districts, universities, and community mental health centers through the FQHC development process over the course of her career. She is attuned to the latest trends in the health center environment and prepares her clients to respond proactively. Jennifer has a unique ability to see your vision and then map out the path to get here. Jennifer has worked extensively with FQHCs, FQHC Look-alikes, CCBHCs, public entities, and residency programs. Her expertise includes HRSA, SAMHSA, USDA, CDC, and other DHHS funding agencies. Her focus areas include workforce development, integrated primary care and behavioral health, teaching health center and residency programs, rural health, culturally and linguistically appropriate services, and capital initiatives. Jennifer has also provided consulting services to state and national primary care associations. Jennifer's diverse background in government funding, entrepreneurship, and business development helps her link the Client's goals to strategies, action items, and, ultimately, success. Jennifer loves learning new languages and speaks advanced/fluent Spanish and Portuguese.
Heather Hensley
Vice President of Consulting Services
Heather Hensley, Vice President of Consulting Services, has a healthcare administration and physician relations background. Heather oversees the day-to-day activities of the firm's engagements and leads a team of project associates from client engagement to submission. She oversees the customer experience, compliance navigation, and application development. Heather ensures that J2 "owns it" for our clients. Heather's areas of expertise include FQHC scope-of-project, compliance assessments, FTCA, quality, credentialing, and risk management. Heather has been with J2 since 2014. Outside of J2, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, teaching yoga, and snuggling her two dogs, Tinsey and Rogan.
